Next morning

6 'o' clock showed in the wall clock and an alarm rang in siya 's phone. It ranged for few times and finally siya opened her eyes and turned her head a little and then She pulled the phone beside her pillow and off it. She kept her phone back on the side of pillow and closed her eyes .

After a minute suddenly her eyes opened . Her sight fell on the wall clock which showed 6:05 . She lifted her head from her hard pillow. " Pillow was soft why is it suddenly soo hard " . She thought and tilted her eyes a little low and a low gasp left her mouth. She was sleeping on someone's chest.

She immediately looked up from the chest and it was none other than her husband. His eyes and mouth were close.
Now she noticed, he has quite long lashes. She rubbed her fingers on his lashes and try to roll out from him. But as she tried to lay straight. She felt a hand little above her waist.

She looked at her left and saw his hand securely holding her waist. His fingers were on the side of her stomach. While her legs were on him. There was pillow wall behind her. Looked like I crossed my side and came into his. Thinking this she slowly removed his hand and moved out of there. She immediately step down from the bed and covered him properly.

She again looked at the bed and thought "he gave me soo much space but still I went to his side. What's wrong with me ".
She sighed at her thoughts and decided to get fresh. What if he wake up now. And she was not at all ready to face him after what happened yesterday night.

She rushed toward the bathroom took a warm relaxing shower . She washed her hair and after drying herself properly. She took a cargo pants and a black square neck tshirt and wore it. She came out of closet and stood in front of the long mirror attached to a wall dressing. She wore her basic jewellery. She was busy tieing her hair when her eyes fell on her mangalsutra and the Vermillion box. She left her wet hair and took that mangalsutra  in her hand.

She looked at herself in the mirror and her mind went back few days. The days she got forced into this wedding. She was sitting in front of the holy fire. With hatred for her parents and inlaws for her cousin for the guy who is now her husband. "Now you guys are husband and wife for next seven life's " Those words of pundit jii rang in her head once again and she immediately opened her eyes.

Her eyes we're filled with tears. She wiped her tears and kept that back in the drawer. She looked at the Vermillion box and her mother words came in her mind.
" Even though you hate us, you hate everything for now. You are his wife and he is your husband. Apply this Vermillion everyday at least as your responsibility or duty. And always keep in check that this box is never empty. That's a last request I can do to you " 

She was still staring at it with her mothers words. She closed her eyes and whispered " He is not my husband. I am a replacement for him. He is my no one "
She opened her eyes and pushed the box little away. 

" If you hate him soo much then why you didn't stopped him last night ??? Why you didn't questioned him??? or why you reacted like that to his touch??? . Have you answers to this question " Her inner self mocked. " That was just heat of the moment nothing else. " She whispered to herself . And let her hair opened for air dry and took a little amount of hair from both the end and clutched it . Satisfied with her look she went downstairs.

She came into the hall and looked here and there but no one was there. She was about to sit on sofa when her sight fell on a maid walking out of kitchen holding a dish toward the dinning table.   " Where is maa and dad?? " She asked. " They are in the temple mam " She said with a small smile and left toward the dinning area. 

Siya came and stood behind maa and dad joining her hands. They were busy in doing puja. After few minutes, they turned  and saw siya standing there joining her hands and closed eyes. She was looking fresh and beautiful. Rita smiled looking at her. But she frowned seeing her empty hairline.  She didn't said anything  and thought " She is a young girl I can't expect these things from her but isn't it about my sons safety. But things are also not normal between them. "

Rita was busy thinking all possible scenario when mahadev looked at his lost wife and said " What are you thinking Rita???  " Saying this he looked at siya and kept his hand on her. " Beta common take the blessings " . Sita opened her eyes and took the blessings of holy fire and touched both of there feets. They blessed them and then moved toward the dinning area.

" Good morning maa and dad " She said happily they wished her back and sat on the dinning table. Rita stood up and served her husband while maids served siya. She smiled seeing them this close to each other. They are exactly like her mama and papa. " What if I also serve him like this " She thought and then shake her head. " What nonsense I am thinking. It's never gonna happen.

She focused back on the food, when Rita asked while eating her first bite. " Is aditya sleeping?? " .

"Yes maa "

" Good, let him sleep. He came at 3 of morning last night. He was soo tired " Rita said while eating.

Siya felt little bad for him. But didn't uttered any word.

" You didn't told her, how he was last night. Looking for his wife " Mahadevan said while looking at them with a smile.

Siya looked at them confused. " Ohh that. Actually last night, you slept with us na. So he came to our room when he didn't fond you in his room. He checked in the whole house. He was literally sweating and tensed "  Rita said while laughing.

" When he saw you sleeping in our room. Then he calmed down and carried you in his arms toward his room. I told him not too, let you sleep here only but he didn't listened us " Mahadevan said .

" You know what he said?? "

" What dad "

He said " Dad let me take her, it feels empty without her " He mimicked aditya and everyone laughed except siya. She felt guilt and respect toward him. Does he care soo much about me?? She thought and tears filled her eyes. Which got unnoticed by everyone. They finished there breakfast with laughter and food.

" Siya come lets go to the college together what say ?? "

" I would love it dad "

" Great then, meet me here only in few minutes  " Saying this he walked back toward his room. While Rita followed behind him, not before ordering the maid to ask the driver, to ready the car.

Siya came back to her room and looked at him sleeping peacefully. She  pulled the curtains . Restricting any sunlight to enter in the room. There was this butterflies feeling  in her stomach . Which was making her happy and respected God knows why. She was happy since she heard about his care, him being tensed for her. Actually since the day she know her he always played his part of husband. Taking care of my needs looking after me everything.

She doesn't knew how to pin point this feeling but she was happy , she was liking everything around her. She took her bag and was walking toward the bed when her sight fell on the mirror. She went there and stood in front of it. She took the Vermillion box and opened the clutch from her hair .

She took a pinch of Vermillion in between her fingers and applied it in her middle partition but in the inner side. And looked at herself . Suddenly she looked different then before. There was a sudden change on her which was making her complete and more beautiful. She immediately lifted her hair up and covered her hairline and clutched it. Satisfied she rushed down stairs.

" Let's go dad " She said while looking at her in laws. 

" They sat in the car when Rita said " I will sent hot lunch for you eat that. Don't eat canteen food "

" But maa "

" No, if and but. Eat that only. Otherwise I will sent the lunch with your dad's lunch box then you have to go there to eat the food. Choice is yours "

Siya gulped looking at her mother in law and said " First option is amazing maa "
Rita smiled at her words and waved them bye.

Soon they reached the college with lot of dad and daughter moments and retro music.  He dropped her few minutes before college as per her request and he went with her car. She walked toward the main gate of college and entered inside.

She immediately dialled shalu. "Where are you girl?? " She asked excitedly.

" I am in the front campus " Sita said and cut the call. When she saw shalu waving her hand.

" They both gave a side hug and said shalu asked " Umm someone is looking soo happy and fresh then yesterday ".
Siya smiled at her question and reason behind her happiness. "  Nothing I just had a good sleep " .

" Let's goo we are getting late for the class " . Siya said and dragged her inside with her nonstop talking. There whole day went in taking classes after classes. With a tasty hot lunch. Shalu was soo happy seeing a hot lunch box for siya.
They both had that as lunch. While shalu was nonstop thanking siya's relative aunty.  As she was missing home made food. There day were quite tiring with lots of study, classes and homework.

On the other side :

Aditya woke up to an empty bed and empty room. In these few days he like waking up seeing her smiling beautiful face. But today waking up like this didn't settled well with him. He did his daily routine and work. There was a lingering vanilla scent in his whole room. From bed to the bathroom. This was the only thing which was keeping him sane .

He soo , soo many times opened his call logs to call her. But didn't got enough courage to do soo. What if she doesn't like it or what if she gets disturbed. Thinking this he never called her.  He spent his whole day working. Suddenly he thought she is starting her classes she will must need a laptop.

He got ready and went to the Apple Store. He bought all the required items with a headset. He purchased few more stationary items and few packed sweets. Although it's not good for health. But he was not able to control himself for pampering her. He wanted to spend his money on her. Soo he bought everything he liked and came back home.

His mother also appreciated him for his this action. She was happy that his son has already started liking her. And thinking soo much about her. He placed the laptop on the table in there minni living room . And stored all the snacks in the drawer and cabinets.  Satisfied with his work. He got ready to go to the hospital as he had night shift.

He left the home in his car in evening nit before calling his dad to ask about there whereabouts and he got to know he is about to leave the college as driver already took siya . She should reach home in some time. He even waited for her to meet her before leaving,but looked like time was not in his favour and he had to leave without meeting . His heart was asking him to call while his mind was against it. Among all these as a result he didn't called her.

Where as siya was about to reach home. They were stuck in traffic. She didn't knew he had a night shift . He came to know about it from driver. She was happy in her heart that she can meet him before he leaves. As yesterday morning she saw him properly as today morning he was sleeping and forgot about the last night.

But both of them didn't met each other. She got upset not finding him home . She sat with her mother in law sharing about her whole day. They talked for hours.Rita was also happy having someone to share her whole day. she reached her room and kept everything on the bed and directly went to get fresh.

Finally she came back changing in her night dress and  picked up her things and kept it on its place and and when she was about to charge her phone  on the table. She saw a sticky note on the bedside table. She got happy  and took it and read it.

" Got A Little Surprise For You. Hope You Like It. All the best for your studies "

She looked here and there but found nothing. Finally she saw few items on the table. She excitedly took them. He look after her requirements even before she say it out. She looked at there logo and she was shocked finding it soo expensive.

She thought to text him a thank you. But again she thought it would be soo insensitive. She dialled him two times. But nobody picked it up. She felt sad but she controlled her emotions thinking he must be driving or busy in hospital .

She kept her phone on charge and decided to open all those things and start it. But suddenly she got an idea and picked up all those things and kept it safely in his study room.  Keeping them securely she came out of his study room and walked back toward there room.

She checked her phone for any call or message but nothing. Sighing she went down stairs to have some snack.

On the other side he was busy in ot aa they got an emergency .

A week passed like this. When she comes home he would Already leave the house and when he comes home. She would be sleeping. Whenever they called each other. They won't be near there phone. And when they got a chance to talk each other she would avoid it. Although it was very rare. This unplanned distance of having each other and at the same time not having each other. Was creating a longing feeling. A little need to At least talk to each other face to face or something.  After that night sita would try to be up expecting something to happen.

But her fear made her to sleep in her in laws room. And as a heavy sleeper she never wake up again in the middle of night. While as, he was happy about her fear. As this was the only option he would touch her, feel her this close.  He always wanted to do something with her or atleast feel her little more. But he never dare to , thinking she is a child and he is doing a crime touching her that also without her concent.
