I held her close, feeling the warmth of her body pressed against mine, the soft weight of her hands on my chest. Her heart was racing, and mine thudded in response, a chaotic rhythm that made every second electric. I could lose myself in her gaze, in the way she trembled slightly under my hold, and for a fleeting moment, I wanted to just take her, devour her, and make the world disappear.
